The team

Working Fine Artist since 1991, Andrew brings the experience of great highs and terrible lows from working with galleries, publishers, and collectors. Previously the youngest gallery owner in Carmel by-the-Sea, CA, Andrew opened and ran his One-Man gallery from 1995 thru 1998.?I want the Outer Edge to be the great experience an artist looks back on after having a show with us?. Andrew has worked as a color specialist, proofing and color correcting fine art Giclee prints, for Silvergraph Studios. Andrew’s design credits include the Color Wheel Co. "Grayscale and Value finder" and his self published Intensity


Sunshine Jackson dreamt of being a Solid Gold dancer but was too young and too round. She roller-skated her way through high school until she finally fulfilled her life long dream of becoming a waitress. She waited and waited and waited?. to be discovered, like most waitresses. Discovered for what? Who knows? Now, finally, she is a Gallery Owner/Photographer who still loves to disco.




Diana Hayes graduated from ‘The Monterey Academy of Hair Design’ in 1988. She then began her journey into the ‘real world’ of hair styling and continued her education. She received training from the likes of:
The team at Vidal Sassoon, Santa Monica; DJ Freed and the team at Key Lime Pie Salon, Atlanta GA; David Adams, Aveda Global Master Hair Color Genius; Antoinette Beenders, British Hair Dresser of the Year 2004; Nick Orrojo, Orrojo Studio NYC; and Oscar Bond, NYC……..Just to name a few!

Diana loves color and continues to explore and integrate into her work many fun & new techniques while still retaining the ability to achieve a natural look if so desired.

Having also worked at an Aveda Salon for14 years, Diana continues to incorporate the beloved scalp treatment, using fine essential oils and relaxing massage, before one of her precision cuts.

Chris Delaney nurtured the Outer Edge through its first year of business along with partners, Andrew and Sunshine. He and his brother Craig, owners of Hula’s Island Grill in Monterey, are currently working on opening a new restaurant on the peninsula. We wish them the best of luck.





Michael Keenan, 56, owned and operated the eccentric shop the Outer Edge, on Bonifacio Place in downtown Monterey, where for more than 10 years he cut hair and sold antiques on the side.

Keenan loved to travel. He spent about 10 days in Monterey and 20 in Thailand every month. His friends speculated that the main reason he decided to go back and forth was because he didn't like the weather in Monterey, but he loved the people.

Keenan was originally from New York and had served in the Air Force and worked for Frito-Lay in New York when he was younger. In fact, friends recalled that Keenan was the youngest executive that ever worked at the company. While living in Monterey, he went to art school in San Francisco. For the past 10 years, he would split his time between residences in Monterey and in other parts of the country or abroad.

Keenan had a special signal to let friends and customers know he was in town. He would place an old turquoise wringer clothes washer in front of his store. Friends and clients looked for it.
